Spiced croutons

INGREDIENTS

4 cups of cubed bread (preferably day-old bread)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional: additional herbs or spices like dried parsley, thyme, or oregano

PREPARATION METHOD

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cubed bread with olive oil. Toss until the bread cubes are evenly coated.
In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Sprinkle the spice mixture over the bread cubes and toss until they are evenly coated with the spices.
Spread the seasoned bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the croutons are golden brown and crispy, tossing them halfway through the baking time for even cooking.
Once done, remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the croutons cool completely.
Once cooled, use the spiced croutons immediately as a topping for salads, soups, or any dish that could use a crunchy, flavorful addition. Enjoy!
