For the Creamy Layers:
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup mascarpone or cream cheese
2 tbsp powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup melted milk chocolate
1/4 cup Nutella (optional)
For the Crunchy Topping:
2 tbsp chopped hazelnuts
2 tbsp chocolate curls or shavings
2 tbsp crispy chocolate pearls or cocoa nibs
Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. In another bowl, mix mascarpone (or cream cheese) with powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture. Divide the mixture into two bowls. Mix the melted milk chocolate (and Nutella if using) into one of the bowls to create a chocolate layer, leaving the other plain.
In a clear serving cup or glass, layer the plain cream mixture first. Add the chocolate layer on top, gently spreading it evenly.
Sprinkle the chopped hazelnuts, chocolate curls, and crispy chocolate pearls on top.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving for a firmer texture. Serve chilled and enjoy!
