Glazed American doughnuts

INGREDIENTS

### Ingredients
– 250 grams of milk
– 25 grams of fresh baker’s yeast
– 50 grams of sugar
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar
– 2 eggs
– 520 grams of flour
– A pinch of salt
– Olive oil

### For the Glaze
– 125 grams of powdered sugar
– 1 teaspoon of lemon juice

### Instructions

1. **Heat the Milk**
– Mix the two types of sugar in a bowl.
– Place a saucepan over heat with the milk, warm it, and then remove it.

2. **Prepare the Dough**
– Crumble the yeast into the warm milk and stir until dissolved.
– Add 60 ml of olive oil, beaten eggs, and the sugar mixture. Stir to combine.

3. **Knead the Dough**
– Gradually add 500 grams of flour and a pinch of salt.
– Knead for a few minutes until all ingredients are well integrated.

4. **Let it Rest**
– Shape the dough into a ball, cover it with a cotton cloth, and let it rest for 1 hour.

5. **Roll Out the Dough**
– Sprinkle flour on the work surface and place the dough on top.
– Roll it out with a floured rolling pin until it is 1 cm thick.
– Cut out doughnut shapes.

6. **Fry the Doughnuts**
– Heat plenty of oil in a pan.
– Fry the doughnuts on both sides until golden brown.
– Remove them with a skimmer and drain on absorbent paper.

7. **Make the Glaze**
– Mix the powdered sugar with 25 ml of water and lemon juice until you get a smooth sauce.
– Wait for the doughnuts to cool, dip them in the glaze, and let it dry completely before serving.
