FRENCH FRIES WITH PARMESAN

==========

INGREDIENTS

4 large russet potatoes
2 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp salt (or to taste)
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp dried oregano (optional)
1 tsp paprika (optional)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

PREPARATION METHOD

Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes (optional).
Cut them into thin strips or your preferred fry shape.
Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch (this makes them crispier).
Drain and pat them dry with a towel.
2. Cook the Fries
For deep-frying:

Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
Fry the potatoes in batches for 3-4 minutes, until golden brown.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
For baking:

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Toss the fries with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through.
For air frying:

Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Toss the fries with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Cook in batches for 15-20 minutes, shaking halfway.
3. Season and Serve
While the fries are hot, toss them with Parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, and paprika.
Garnish with fresh parsley.
Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
