?????????

INGREDIENTS

For the cookies:
– 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
– 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
– 1 large egg
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/4 teaspoon salt

For the chocolate glaze:
– 1 cup (175g) semisweet chocolate chips
– 2 tablespoons (30g) unsalted butter
– 2 tablespoons (30ml) milk
– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
– Optional: sprinkles, chopped nuts, or shredded coconut for decoration

PREPARATION METHOD

1. **Preheat the oven:** Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

2. **Prepare the cookie dough:** In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, beating well until fully incorporated.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.

4. **Shape the cookies:** Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Flatten each ball slightly with the palm of your hand or the bottom of a glass.

5. **Bake the cookies:** Place the baking sheets in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cookies are set around the edges. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

6. **Prepare the chocolate glaze:** In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Heat over low heat on the stovetop or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth and melted.

7. **Glaze the cookies:** Dip the tops of each cooled cookie into the chocolate glaze, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the glazed cookies back onto the parchment-lined baking sheets.

8. **Decorate (optional):** While the chocolate glaze is still wet, you can sprinkle the cookies with your choice of toppings such as sprinkles, chopped nuts, or shredded coconut.

9. **Chill and serve:** Place the cookies in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes to allow the chocolate glaze to set. Once set, these chocolate-glazed cookies are ready to be enjoyed!

10. **Storage:** Store any leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. Enjoy!
