Looking back at all the celebrity news of 2023, there’s a recurring theme that remained prominent throughout the year: celebrity breakups. From unexpected celebrity divorces, such as those of Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello, Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth, and Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Jackman, to surprising splits like Lupita Nyong’o and Selema Masekela, and Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro, celebrities seemed to be ending relationships left and right last year.
Despite many of us still processing these separations (we counted at least 70 of them!), 2024 has already seen its share of celebrity breakups. Early into the new year, news broke of two celebrity divorces: AJ McLean announced the end of his 11-year marriage to Rochelle, shortly followed by former The Bachelorette stars Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo filing for divorce.
